At that time, she used a key she had stolen from her daughter Lee to enter the house. Betty shot and killed both of the lovebirds on the bed at 5:30 a.m. on 5th November 1989, two days before her 42nd birthday.
At the time of death, Dan was 45, and Linda was 28. They are buried together at Greenwood Memorial park in San Diego.
Today, Broderick is serving her sentence at the California Institution for Women in Chino, California.
