Review of Mad About You
We have completed all eight seasons of Mad About You. We must admit to our readers that this is a challenging program to evaluate. Some episodes are watchable and moderately enjoyable, while some episodes are not so watchable
Often, the dialogue is more appropriate for a play than a TV show. Because the spouse is neurotic, the wife’s role appears to strive to match the husband’s thinking. It’s frequently forced and unfunny. Having said that, it may be hilarious at times. We did laugh and enjoy ourselves.
Guest star appearances are helpful. As guests, all of the popular actors and actresses arrive. The program does improve somewhat from season 1 to season 8. We would rate the initial run of the program three and a half stars if we were evaluating it. There are relatively few laugh-out-loud moments, but you do settle into a pleasant enjoyment at its greatest moments.
