Arthur Flegenheimer popularly known as Dutch Schultz was born on 6th August 1901 in New York City. He was born to German Jewish immigrants, Herman and Emma Flegenheimer.
He was in his teenage life when his father abandoned him and his mother forcing him to drop out of school when he was in just eighth grade to support his family.
In the beginning, he worked as a feeder and pressman for the Clark loose company, American Express in the Bronx between 1916 and 1919.
